| Verizon | 263 Bobolink Cir W | Verizon in this area is okay for voice, but data is terrible. Your phone may show a 2 or 3 bar signal with LTE, but that is for voice, not for data. We use our cell phone hot spots for our only source of accessing the internet. We get .2 to .5 mbs download speed which means you can’t watch anything with motion and takes forever to load a webpage. Also to upload a text picture will also take a very long time. I’ve called Verizon several times to complain, but their response is I’m in at least a 4mbs download area so don’t much care what I have to say. But then they acknowledge there might be a problem by giving me a $20 credit! They also have their tech services send out a rep to the area (so they say) to test and still don’t acknowledge a problem and last year once said this area may be in a shadow for a data signal, whatever that means. Guess there is two signals, one for voice and different one for data best I can figure out. It’s not just me, all with Verizon in this area are having the same issues and many have called Verizon to complain. Guess Verizon does not care about us winter Texans who stay in this area for 4 to 6 months per year. Once the signal in other areas of the country improve where we reside with other carriers, we will drop Verizon. I’ve been told by others in my vicinity that AT&T works okay in this area. | 2019 |
