Verizon | 1001 Old Pinnacle Rd | This area was identified as a "marginal" area of coverage by Verizon support themselves who were happy to sell me a $200+ network extender. I am not paying for a device that is a band-aid over the issue. Verizon needs to stop telling customers the can provide coverage of this area until they add a tower that would resolve the coverage deficiency. I actually did get a 3G network extender used for way less than Verizon offers them. So I am using my internet bandwidth I pay a separate bill for to fix a problem with Verizon's network coverage who i also pay. Network extender works fine as long as you do not want to use HD Voice since you can expect plenty of dropped called due to their their technology not compensating for the inability of HD Voice to go from 4G LTE to 3G without dropping the call. Additionally, expect annoyances going vice versa; should start your call on 3G and even if you enter 4G LTE, your call can not transition and you will not be able to access mobile data until you end and reconnect your call on the 4G. So basically, Verizon doesn't care they lie about their coverage of this area and their solutions mean additional out of pocket for customers and at the same time just provide more annoyances in using their services. You do have the right to terminate any contract in an area determined to be of "marginal" coverage by the way. | 2019 |
